Bing is getting ready to launch their new advertising campaign this weekend. The new Bing advertising campaign features extreme athletes and their stories.

New ad scheduled to air during NFC Championship Game!

The new “Bing is for doing” ad campaign is scheduled to air during the NFC Championship football game on Sunday where the New York Giants take on the San Fransisco 49ers and during the upcoming X Games.

Timing is EVERYTHING!

Some sources believe that Bing’s ad campaign is coming at the perfect time. Not only is it airing during one of the most popular games of the football season, but it is at a time when many internet users are getting tired of Google Plus. While Google is dividing forces by trying to take on the social media giant we know all know as Facebook, Bing has been gaining popularity with more and more users everyday!

What’s changed?

You will notice that Bing has changed their ad slogan from “Bing the decision engine” to “Bing is for doing.” This new advertising message is focused on winter sports athletes and will include free-skier Bobby Brown along with snowboarders Kaitlyn Farrington, Gretchen Bleiler and Kevin Pearce who’s now returning to action after a brain injury forced him to miss the 2010 Olympics. The athletes’ stories will also be promoted online via social media campaigns.

It will be interesting to see exactly how well this new campaign will work. Only time will tell if Bing can gain search market share with these new ads in the mists of internet blackouts due to SOPA and Google’s ever changing algorithm.
