Many of my friends and family keep asking me the same three questions; How do I start a blog for free? Can I make my own personal website for free? and Where do I go to get them? The answer to all of these questions is YES, and the platform I recommend is called WordPress.

This means that WordPress websites are good for SEO purposes and they load relatively fast which are both good for the end user experience. When you combine these attributes with all of the free WordPress features and easy to use functions, you have a winning combination.

“Blog” is an abbreviated version of “weblog,” which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. WordPress offers free blogs for people who want a blog to share pictures, articles, thoughts, and ideas with the world. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects. Blogs are a great way for you to publish your thoughts on a customizable and personalized page.
